Interim General Counsel at Penn State Health
Judy J. Hlafcsak is Interim General Counsel at Penn State Health. She also serves as Chief of Staff to the Penn State Health CEO. Prior to joining Penn State Health, Judy was a partner at K&L Gates and served as General Counsel of West Penn Allegheny Health System, a multi-hospital nonprofit system based in western Pennsylvania, as well as its successor, Allegheny Health Network. Judy’s practice was concentrated on health care transactions, including mergers and affiliations, as well as nonprofit governance matters. Judy began her legal career at Reed Smith where she focused on corporate matters.
Judy received her B.A. in English from the University of Pittsburgh, as well has her J.D., where she graduated first in her class, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif.
