Associate General Counsel
Jacob serves as Associate General Counsel for Penn State Health and its affiliate healthcare entities. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Jacob worked at the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C. within the firm’s Labor & Employment department. At Buchanan, Jacob’s practice focused on employment matters impacting healthcare entities. He provided advice on day-to-day human resources issues facing hospital systems, while also serving as counsel in administrative investigations, discrimination matters, and wage & hour claims.
Jacob started his career at a large Philadelphia based firm litigating before state, federal and appellate courts, as well as administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals. He also worked for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, where he served as a liaison on Pennsylvania State Courts’ Rules Committees and taught for the Pennsylvania Minor Judiciary Education Board.
He received his B.A. from Flagler College, and his J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School, where he was awarded the President’s Award as the top underclassman and served as a senior staff member of The Widener Law Review.
