Associate General Counsel
David DeLuce is Associate General Counsel at The Pennsylvania State University providing legal services to Penn State Health and its affiliate health care entities. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, David was in private practice in Central Pennsylvania with the law firm of Johnson, Duffie, Stewart & Weidner for over 30 years. In private practice he represented health care clients, business and commercial entities, and served as solicitor to municipal agencies. His health care clients included community hospitals, physician practices, and other health care providers. David also is a licensed title agent and his practice included real estate transactions.
In private practice he was the President of the firm and served on its management committee for over 20 years overseeing the business and administration functions of the firm. Prior to entering private practice he served as a law clerk to the Honorable James Buckingham, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of York County, Pennsylvania.
David received his undergraduate degree from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University, and his law degree from the Delaware Law School. Prior to law school he was district manager for an equipment manufacturer working in the western United States.
He has also served on non-profit community boards including Keystone Human Services, Keystone Service Systems and Tri-County Easter Seal Society. He is presently a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
